Redditch is always criticized for its heinous nature, its streets littered with teenagers as young as seven walking the streets in packs, uttering insults towards you and other members of the general public because they believe that they are in fact, hard and smart. The only safe area in Redditch is actually the main street just outside the Kingfisher centre which consists off nightclubs, bars and pubs, but even that isn’t wonderfully safe. However I ventured off to a shopping area just outside this very street. The only shop open was KFC right next to me, but that was still closed…but at least there were people there to testify for my murder.

I did do a vlog earlier in the night after the Cause For Concern performance, but it turned out to be quite offensive towards the Redditch people so to avoid offending people, I did another vlog. Not long after pulling my camera out, some teenagers drove past me in the car jeering at me before driving off to the far side of the car park…most likely bonking each other. That was standard procedure though, it’s common in Redditch. But after making a letterbox talk, inspecting a trolley and stating a shop was open despite being closed…I saw two heads pop up. Two men were stood there staring at me, slowly walking towards me. I started to feel intimidated and everything I was planning to say had ran out of my brain.

So I finished the vlog and then proceeded to walk towards KFC. The guys had gone and then they drove off in their car. Sure, they probably wouldn’t have murdered me, but it was worrying.

Anyway yes, Vokle is now set up! But like I said, I’ll wait a while before actually doing a live show as there aren’t enough views coming in yet for me to generate a live audience. But you can help by spreading my channel about! You know you want to.

I now must start doing some college work, I haven’t done any all week due to feeling ill. I still feel ill though so I doubt it’ll happen.

Sitting in Starbucks writing this blog.

Anyway! Yes I am in Starbucks, bet you got that from my fancy wording in the title, but moving straight onto the vlogs, I’ve been in a terrible state all week, this illness hurts me, but I should be doing a lazyvlog later on when I get home. Why am I out and about if I’m I’ll you possibly ask? Because I’ve had appointments to attend annoyingly. But prepare for a lazyvlog upload later on though and then prepare for another lazyvlog tomorrow night as I’m out at a bands first gig so that should be enjoyable.

Is “lazyvlog” actually a vlogging style? I got the style from Toby Turner, otherwise known as, “Tobuscus” but then I searched for it in YouTube hoping to find more vloggers to watch, but then it was just a sea off Tobuscus videos. So I don’t know whether he actually invented the term or not. Oh well, I like all the styles!

I do realize I didn’t do a blog post for the DOGGY RESPECT vlog, but I’m that weak, typing hurts my poor delicate man hands. Were yu really going to make me do a blog post knowing it would leave me crying in agony? WERE YOU!? I’m just joking, I adore you, I wouldn’t expect anything less.

In other vlog related news, my views have been getting higher very slowly, so thank you to you all who are subscribing or sharing the videos about. You doing that shows me that you enjoyed my video, which means my desire to entertain you is going successfully! That is all I want to do, is entertain you. I’ve always loved entertaining people, I enjoy hearing people laugh with you, it’s a beautiful expression to witness or know you’re inducing upon someone. If that makes sense.

Well, as you can most likely see I’m packing for a trip, a trip I’m attending with the rest of my media group, a trip to New York. I’m looking forward to it, I’ve always wanted to visit America! I like it. Although it is a shame I’m only going for a five days. The other year the group that went ended up staying for two weeks due to the Icelandic volcano that erupted, so they managed to at least get some fun times, whereas I predict that our group shall just have to work…unless we set a schedule which gives us more fun times and less filming times! But yes, my plan is to not sleep. I’m good at choosing to stay awake, and I want to be able to experience Times Square during the day and during the night for several days.

Ahh this Sonic the Hedgehog thing? This is just a hat. The guys at a GAME store kindly let me have one as they would have just thrown them out or something. Gotta love Sonic, but also, Steam was having a Sonic the Hedgehog game sale over the weekend, I almost purchased some but I’m trying to save my money until I head over to Telford for the MCM Expo and also for New York.

I’ve come up with some fantastic ideas for the secret band feature vlog recently! One of them involves pyrotechnics. I’m not even kidding. Although they aren’t in the way you’re probably thinking about. Also trying to decide on whether to do the whole thing on my white backdrop or just to do it like I did with Vlogmas, with the living room behind me. I’m leaning more towards the white backdrop to be honest with you. Drop a comment down in the YouTube channel if want and let me know what you think about the background idea.

As I said, well, as I said and messed up what I was trying to say, I’ll do another vlog in a few days, most likely Wednesday when I’m getting a voiceover artist to record me some audio stuff. Oh yes. It’s a plan.

LOTS OF TAPES! All these are a collection off nearly every tape I’ve used in the past five years. Quite a lot, I’ve finally stacked them up now so they aren’t littered over my bed like they are in the video. But wait a second…you’re in my room reader…why? GET OUT! Actually no, you can stay, you seem like a nice person. Just mind your head on the ceiling fan. Okay? Cool.

Well, Wednesday went well, turned up to the venue and waited for the camera operators to turn up ready to be trained by myself and Alex. They did pretty well actually. Obviously some areas need improvements, but live music filming is a tough gig, so it’s understandable that they’d be a bit shy and nervous about the whole situation. Alex and I have been doing this for three years now. Oh god, that reminds me, I did a vlog with Mini Matt, my small ginger friend but the footage became corrupt so I couldn’t even use that…guh, it was so annoying.

Hehehe, secrets reader, I’m keeping secrets from you. Although it is cool that a band asked me to do them a vlog for them. I’d say that is pretty cool anyway. So keep your eyes on this space for that! I’ve also decided to move away from the whole, “Update:”/”Vlog:” things for the title of my videos because…it just seems silly now I’ve had a long hard think about it. Thinking about doing some of the cartoon vlog stuff in the next few weeks too providing I have enough time to actually do that.

Well, I’m currently in a theory lesson, and learning about the art of film editing. Montage editing to be precise. Did you know that the whole montage style was developed by Russians? Well there’s a fact for you. I have to say, I’m on the ball today! I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I must have woken up on the right side of the bed…despite the fact there’s only way way to roll out of bed.

I went to have a trim this morning with my I-Stubble and ended up cutting my top lip, I can still taste my own blood. Yum. Got another Wii controller today so I can actually play multi-player games, with myself mostly to be honest. Mario Kart would be awesome to play with both hands during a split screen event.

Starting from next week, I’m going to be a busy man, more of this Battle of the Bands filming will be occurring and then I’ve got a few gigs to attend. One being Cause For Concerns, my friends…kind of industrial metal band check them out if you’re a fan of that of music over at their Facebook page.

I will also be carrying my 3D glasses around with me, more so that I can throw them on ready for when I’m going to do a vlog. I promise! …Well that was lovely. Just got shown a Russian film clip featuring a cow getting it’s throat cut open whilst still alive, and then cutting back and forth between a gunfight. It was pretty gruesome to say the least.

The next vlog shall be whenever! But it won’t be too long! Oh, which reminds me, I got asked by a great band to feature them in a vlog in about a month, so that is something I’m looking forward too!

Well, it was slightly awkward doing a vlog in front off my Mother and sister, but it turned out pretty good I thought! It’s that whole “embarrassing” mindset that gets to you when you do things that aren’t socially acceptable, like eating a burger from a bin, people look and stare and judge. But I’m getting past all the “God this is embarrassing!” stuff and just going there, just doing it. It’s awesome. So yeah, I stated it was my sisters birthday, which in fact was WRONG! Her birthday was yesterday, but because it was a pretty bad day for her I decided to make her a better day by going out and getting a Nintendo Wii! That was the basic backstory for the shopping trip really.

I even made jelly with pineapple pieces inside, which is tasty. I would have worn my 3D glasses, but they weren’t with me, so starting from now…I will be bringing the 3D glasses back. You know it needs to be done reader! It does. Still need to get round to recording part of the feature vlog, I haven’t done that at all yet…blame work. Not only have I got quite a bit off college work on my back, but I’m also organizing the filming at Coxs Yard as I’ve mentioned before, training up the year below me and all that.

I realized that the Blog of the Vlogs tends to have the video uploaded first, then the blog will be online later in the day, so there’s advice for you. If you want to check out the blogs you’ll have to wait for a few hours after the videos uploaded. ALSO! I finally figured out the issue with my audio on the update vlogs, because before the audio would pan to the right ear on headphones for some reason, but I finally figured it out to be equal and in stereo rather than mono. I am a technical God.

I really wasn’t in the best mindset when I did this really, as I think you may know as I mentioned it enough times, I was cold, aching and sleep deprived. Two days off not sleeping well does that. In fact I couldn’t even remember what I had been filming once i stopped recording, the only things I could remember were being laughed at…I assume and the light turning off. Other than that, I just waited around in the windy cold. Not fun. The filming went well though, some people were impressed with our equipment and some people just probably saw us getting in the way.

So not much really happened, I apologize for the boringness.

This was my first time doing a vlog in a crowded public area too so I was quite nervous about the situation, but it turned out not to be as bad as I thought. To clarify on what I was saying though about the filming, basically I have filmed an annual Battle of the Bands event for the past three years at least and I’m doing it again this year. I was going to be filming the event on this night and we were just hanging around passing time until the place opened for us to get set up.

As you could also see…just, my screen has broken! So there I was, essentially walking around looking like I was just holding a closed camera turned off and talking to it. I think it turned out better than I thought though! I was expecting to come home, capture the footage and find myself not even in shot. There were also a lot off people on the streets, which we nearly walked into as you saw, ahh it was fun. There was a part where we mentioned about “MySCR” and “That Local Show”, MySCR was a local radio station where Mat, Alex and I had our own radio show called “That Local Show”. This was about three years ago now, and me and Mat came up with the idea to have a conversation with a pigeon live on air. As you’d imagine, the idea was disapproved but it never stopped our love for it.

This Christmas holiday that has just passed has been a pretty decent one, especially as I’ve decided to do a vlog now and stick at it. The vlog opened my geeky side and confidence far more than they has been opened in years. I’ve always hid my geeky side away due to seeing how some people are treated for it, but upon attending the Telford MCM expo last year and making friends with the right people I started to open myself up a little bit more, but never fully. Since and before doing the vlog I watched other vloggers such as, “Tobuscus”, “VleurDeVlog”, “Alli” and others be content with who they are and people love them for it, it was a boost in confidence and certainly inspirational. Since Vlogmas I’ve become more and more proud of myself and comfortable with myself. It’s a weird feeling, but it’s a nice one.

Regarding the geekiness though, I’m a retro lover, and not one of those people that pretends to know all the classics back in the 90′s because of the badly done remakes, i actually grew up with them. I remember hours off playing Pong, Paperboy, Bubble Bobble and Pokemon. Watching Doug, Recess, and god knows what else. Reading the Beano, Dandy, Marvel comics, DC Comics and other fantastic comics. I loved everything really. And after a while, when I went to primary school I started hiding myself away, and I have done ever since. Until last month that is.

This has been quite a mellow blog post really hasn’t it? Ahh it’s fine, it gives you an insight into who I am I suppose! In other brighter news though, I’m attending the Telford MCM expo again this year in February and will be doing a vlog down there and taking photos of the cosplayers…I also intend on blowing £100 on apparel. I need to do another vlog, possibly tomorrow whilst I’m at college, I just hope that the surrounding students don’t go to stupid just because there is a camera around. Oh! also, I highly doubt that the UK is going to get any snow this year as it’s warming up…why is it warming up!? Chill! Chill nature! Bring us snow, I want snow!

(Update: Just opened the camcorder to check the battery level…the LCD screen decided to break…so now I need to get a camcorder…URGH!)

Yes, this is another sneak peak…except this time round it is the final style seeing as the other sneak peak video was a draft. This showed a few examples of the text that would be coming. A mix of comic fonts and retro game fonts adds to the geeky factor, which is the direction that I’m heading…I’m essentially broadcasting my geekiness to the world. That is now a word. Sadly there were a few audio issues but I really don’t want to try spending ages sorting them out.

The actual idea for the feature vlog is going to be an episode every now and then focusing on geeky subjects, so perhaps discussion about comics, games or events for example. They’ll hopefully be funny enough to keep an audience constantly coming in and allow them to leave successfully entertained and geekified. That is also now a word. There will also be a “Featured YouTube User” which will link the viewer, you, to the featured users channel. I think the concept it good, and I’m confident that getting it out there will be successful, I just hope that is works as well as I’m envisioning. I’m actually putting a lot off effort into this feature, for example, this video took me at least four hours to edit all the titles and sort the audio out. DEDICATION.

I’m quite proud of this whole vlogging scenario though as this is something I’m sticking at because I want to get somewhere rather than trying it out or being put down about it and then throwing it aside after a short while because I think that one persons opinion echoes the rest of the worlds. They’ll be people who like it, they’ll be people who won’t. The people who do like it, I’m all yours!

I think I’m going to spend the weekend doing my essay’s now and then do another Update vlog next week sometime.
