Update: BEHIND THE SCENES!

I woke up this morning, and as I lay in bed staring up at the ceiling I thought to myself, “Urgh, let’s get this over and done with” I headed downstairs and began setting up for the three vlog’s I needed to create. I wasn’t thinking like that because I don’t enjoy it, I was thinking like that because I know it’s distracting me from my college work massively. I’ve got two 1,500 word essay to do and so far I only manage to write a sentence before closing the program and then continuing browsing the wondrous wide web for hours.

This vlog was done to show you what my set up looks like for the feature because I know some people out there enjoy knowing how some productions look and are set up. In the video you can see the white screen leaning against the wall, that’s pretty much how it is…yeah. To be more detailed though, the screen is rested on top of a sofa and then a small chest of drawers and then it leans against the wall at a funny angle. There is an S.A.D light which acts as my florescent backlight and then the daylight coming through the patio door is my key light. It’s basically a set up for a shoestring budget really isn’t it?

There are two cameras shown in this video as well, and for those geeks out there, the HDSLR shown is a Nikon D3100 which is used for recording the HD vlogs. When I sit down you can see the one I use for the “update” videos such as this one, this is a Sony Handycam DCR-SR35. It was good…years ago when I first got it, but now it’s starting to play up a bit…as that random part of the video shows where some type of interference occurred. You also saw a comic book style cover on the Mac’s screen, this is an animated title for the actual feature.

There was another video uploaded before this one was uploaded, this was a quick promotion for a friend who is a graphic designer, and I thought I’d help her out by spreading her website on YouTube opening her audience up a bit. I think this is the quickest I’ve ever spoke in a vlog to date! Points to me!

Until the next post!
